1. The Muladhara Chakra – मूलाधार: आधार चक्र

This chakra corresponds to fundamental survival needs: food, shelter and ability to feel grounded, safe, and secure.
Root vegetables grow deep within the earth, and embody the energy of this chakra. Root vegetables help tap into the internal, lower core to create stability. Examples include beets, parsnips, carrots, potatoes, radishes, onions, garlic and turnip.

Any red fruits or vegetables, as apples or pomegranates, also support the first chakra. Protein ( like beans, tofu, soy products, peanut butter) is associated with this chakra because the lengthy process of digestion can be very grounding.
